2003.02.07: Why does Homeland Security make me feel less and less Secure about being in my Homeland?
The N. C. Congressman who is the chairman of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security, thinks that Roosevelt did the right thing by putting Japanese-Americans into "internment camps" during WWII. The most mindbending part is where he insists that the Japanese-Americans were put into the camps for their own safety and well being.
This is the chairman of the Subcommittee on Homeland Security. Don't be surprised if "internment camps" for Arab-Americans show up real soon. Why is it that almost everything done in the name of "Homeland Security" leaves me feeling less secure?
