It's the weekend... Again?!?!

This is so unlike me. The weekend is approaching and I'm not excited... at all. I know it sounds crazy. Who would be so insane as to not look forward to Saturday and Sunday, the best days of all?
Since the end of graduate school and the inevitable lull of unemployment, every day is the exact same. Monday... Sunday... whatever. There's no difference between the two. You'd think this seemingly endless vacation would be exciting and fun. No.
I actually look forward to the weekdays, because at least I know that companies are looking over my resume, possibly considering me as a fellow employee. On the weekends, I know not to expect a call on my phone saying, "Miss Cece? This is Rupert Murdock calling to say your resume is extremely impressive!" I have to wait until Monday for the cyclical adventure of applying and waiting. Hopes going up and then back down.
I know that someday I will happily await the weekends again, and dread the approaching week days. But for now, all I can say is, "Will someone wake me up when it's Monday again?"

Mine sucked. How was your weekend.

Been quite busy lately studying for finals. Only one week to go!

I had two more headaches on Friday, followed by one on Saturday. Sigh. The second one on Friday hit during class and was the most painful one in weeks. I had to get up and leave in the middle of class so that I could pace around and bang my head against a wall until my meds kicked in. I stayed up late on Friday studying and went to bed at 5 AM. One hour later, I was awakened by my brain tryin to push itself out of my skull through my eye socket. The pain refused to abate even after prescribed doses of oxygen, triptans, and heavy duty pain-killers. Under the influence of the pain-killers (which, though they were unable to manage my pain, did make me drowsy), I was able to fall asleep for another two hours. I spent the rest of the day trying to study for my finals while hungover from the headache and the drugs and sleep deprivation. All in all, a pretty bad weekend.

I'll try to make my next post about something besides headaches. ;)
