01:16 AM PST :: comments: 0Apologies. I have been ignoring this site. This is in large part because I am lazy. I typically blog when I am procrastinating so that I can delay working on a task that has a deadline. Now that summertime is here, deadlines are in short supply. I do, however, have one coming up, so here I am again.
The other reason why I haven't been writing is that I just got a new computer, and it is giving me trouble. I am pondering the merits of formatting the computer (again) and starting over. And I'm sick of Greymatter, so I've been futzing around with MovableType. Which refuses to run on my current server. Works fine on my new computer except that my new computer is giving me other problems (like intermittently dropping my internet connection--not exactly the best quality in a webserver).
So I think I'm gonna go with a hosting company. I already use one for one of my projects, so I can just upgrade my service to host mutiple domains. I run MovableType from there. So one of the reasons I haven't been posting is that the new blog won't have anything I post right now unless I import it, which seems to be a pain.
Does anyone want me to make my previous posts available as archives? Can I change the directories that they're in? Are there any inbound links to specific posts that people want to preserve (Google can't seem to find any)? 'Cause if there aren't, I probably won't bother with moving my old posts to the new server.
