school report

School is not kicking my butt, but I'm not kicking its butt either. We seem to have reached a stalemate where I have good grades, but I have fallen preilously far behind in my reading. Since reading constitutes a significant portion of my grades, the one imperils the other.

School is great, I just need better time management skills.

house report

Some friends of ours dropped by recently and unloaded a pile of firewood into our driveway. We were excited to have it. This is the first time Tree and I have lived in a place with a working fireplace and we were anxious to try it out. Our friends assured us that the tree that they had just chopped down had been dead for almost two years, so it should be ready to burn.

So we went out and bought a fireplace screen and a fireplace tool set (you know, the poker and the shovel and the log-grabbing-jaws-thingee) and last night we gave our new fireplace a try. [more]

birthday report

03:34 PM PST :: comments: 2

The day before my birthday, and the day after it were quite good. The day of was kind of a non-starter.

Tree and I were going to go to Todai's for an early dinner (free for the birthday boy), but discovered that they are inexplicably closed form 3:00-5:15. We arrived there at 3:10. We were hungry. We didn't feel like waiting, even though it meant passing up a birthday dael. We left. We got some Thai food. Yummy. Finished off my birthday by studying Greek (groan).

Events that also occured on my birthday: waffles, gifts, shopping, and a movie rental that has yet to be watched.

Summary: Not bad, but could have been better. B
