Why is "Conservative Christian" a common phrase and "Radical Chrsitian" a rare one?
01:12 AM PST :: comments: 0Mark Morford, in his column "Jesus Drives a Hybrid", gets "that Jesus was a true radical. A renegade. A progressive humanitarian, a wanton liberal, a prototypical Earth First!-er."
The "liberal media" gets it. Why don't more of my fellow Christians get it?
(Can you tell that my classmates almost never vote for the same people that I do?)

A Rebate disguised as Junk Mail
11:48 PM PST :: comments: 0Recently, I qualified for a rebate (I remeained a "loyal" cutomer for 45 days). So the company of which I am a customer sent me a "You qualify for the rebate that we promised you...please return this form to claim your rebate" letter.
I had several problems with this letter. First, they should have just sent me a check instead of writing me a letter telling me that I qualify for a check.
Second (and even more evil), they designed the letter and the envelope in which it came to look exactly like junk mail. It was completely in the style of "You may be the winner of ONE MILLION DOLLARS!" Obviously, they were hoping that this letter would just get chucked like the rest of my junk mail and they would not have to send me my rebate. My wife fell for it; she almost grabbed it out of my hands to throw it in the trash until I stopped her. I bet they fool a lot of people this way. Evil. Evil. Evil.

03:17 PM PST :: comments: 1I handed in my last exam. I'm done for the semester. Huzzah! I have managed to sucessfully complete a semester of grad school. And I'm pretty sure that I got some variety of "A" in each of my classes.
Now I'm off to reward myself with LOTR:TTT
